Our experienced coaches at Elevate Sports Performance have brought together their knowledge and expertise to create the most scientifically up-to-date physical fitness program that promotes pain-free, independent and healthy life. If you are looking to improve your physical fitness in a fun and friendly environment, this class is for you.

Here is what we will be covered in this class:

-Mobility: Stretching muscles and mobilizing joints to help you loosen up stiffen up body parts. 

-Core Strength: One of the primary goals of this program is to improve your core strength. We mean all the muscles that stabilize your spine, not just your abdominal muscles when we say core.

-Stability/Balance: One of the most critical aspects of your physical wellness is to prevent falls. We will challenge the sensory, cognitive, and musculoskeletal systems of your body while addressing balance constraints such as orientation in space, changes in direction, and the speed or height of the center of mass during static and dynamic situations resembling activities of daily living. 

-Strength Training: We will use resistance training to strengthen hip, shoulder and knee joints. Research tells us these are the most problematic joints as we age, thus strengthening these joints is vital to keep us pain-free and independent.

*keep in mind that we will scale the exercises to your ability. 

-Cardiovascular Conditioning: We will finish each session with a variation of a cardiovascular conditioning drill that applies the guidelines of CSEP(Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology). This type of conditioning drill will help you improve your aerobic fitness.

Note: Every equipment and exercise floor is sanitized after each use. Our coaches are wearing masks during the sessions. 

HOW CAN THIS PROGRAM IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE?

Regular exercise creating a healthy, strong body can better fight off infection and recover easier from illness or injury and may even decrease the healing time of a wound by 25%.

According to the National Institute of Aging, exercising may delay or even prevent diseases like diabetes, cancer, stroke, heart disease and osteoporosis, to name a few.
IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE AND LIFE EXPECTANCY
New studies have found that ageing adults who exercise improve their physical fitness and experience psychological benefits. Exercise can help alleviate symptoms of depression and improve your mood in general. The increased mobility that comes from regular, moderate exercise can help you maintain your independence if done long-term. Consistency is more important than intensity.

INCREASE BALANCE AND STABILITY
Falls are the number one injury among ageing adults, and regular exercise can help prevent them. Falling leads to injuries like broken hips or other bones, and activity is crucial to improving functional reach and balance.

Are you craving some social interaction? This class is the perfect place to find your people! Over the past 20 months, it has been so difficult to connect.

NOTE: If you have nagging old injuries or overuse injuries such as knee pain, shoulder pain, etc., or any joint replacements, you can still join our classes. Your coach will provide you with modifications!
